Chair of Trustees

We are looking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees.

Founded in 1922, the International Tree Foundation (ITF) is a pioneering environmental organisation. We are entering a renewal phase, and are seeking new Chair of the Trustees to help develop and lead a strategy that meets the defining global crisis of our, and perhaps any, generation – the climate crisis.

Our vision, is a world where trees and forests flourish and where their vital role in supporting planetary and human well-being is valued and realised

New Trustee

We’re looking to appoint new Trustees.

Are you looking to make a major difference to an organisation with extraordinary potential, and a clear and urgent vision?

We are looking for trustees with one or more skills in the following areas: Organisational strategy, Governance, Fundraising, Human Resources, Forestry, Agroforestry, Agroecology, Environmental Conservation and Education, Sustainable Community Development, and Strategic Partnerships. We continue to seek to improve the diversity of our Board of Trustees with regard to gender, ethnic origin and age.

Volunteer

Volunteer Communications Assistant

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will have the chance to learn and contribute to all areas of our communications activity including content for our website and social media. You may also be able to contribute to our bimonthly E-newsletter and annual Trees Journal.

This is a chance to work as a volunteer at ITF’s office in Summertown, Oxford – and a valuable opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in the not-for-profit conservation and development sector.  If you are looking for ways to gain employability, this is a great way to learn new skills whilst building confidence and contributing to our vital work.

If you are motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and tenacious, and especially if you have experience in communications and/or an interest in environmental and international development issues, then this is the perfect role for you.

Programmes Volunteer

Working closely with the Programmes Manager, you will have the chance to learn and contribute to how we manage all of our projects and programmes, internationally and in the UK.  There may be opportunities to focus on specific projects such as Calls for Proposals.  You will prepare project agreements, review reports and communicate with project staff.  You may also be able to write stories about the projects for our website and newsletters.
