“This forest was degraded by human activities such as charcoal burning.
But since the inception of the project, the lost glory of this section of the forest is slowly coming back.
Many rivers had dried up due to degradation of this forest. Now we have enough rain and the rivers, such as the River Yala, are regaining life as it flows into Lake Victoria. And this is very important to the whole Africa continent.
And it’s our wish that this project continues. I am appealing to more well-wishers to chip in and support this cause by empowering the community to plant more trees and protect this unique ecosystem.”
