ITF had some generous prizes donated for their first ever online raffle and the three people that won them were delighted! After a month of internet ticket sales, the winning numbers were drawn on a rainy Thursday morning in the ITF office.
The first prize –a pair of tickets to the 2012 2000 trees festival – was won by Maureen Malyon in Lincolnshire. No doubt she’ll be over the moon seeing as her raffle ticket cost only £1.50 and the festival tickets are worth over £100!
Our second prize, an annual pass kindly donated by the Living Rainforest, was won by Ulrike Schade in Anglesey, Wales who was very excited and emailed ITF to say “Good heavens, I never win anything. Lovely surprise!”
Last but certainly not least, third prize was won by Nick Hards in Oxfordshire. He told ITF he was delighted to receive the ‘Big Plants’ book by award-winning photographer Martyn Ferry and also chose to plant a tree at Old Lodge Farm dedicated to his late Aunt.
A big thank you to all of you who took part, ITF appreciates your support and all money received goes towards our work: protecting, promoting and planting trees. Keep any eye out for future ITF online raffles…. You never know, you might be the next lucky winner!
