A big thank you to our runners at the Oxford Half Marathon! Amy, Jason, Claire and Jon signed up to Run for the Trees this Sunday 9th October. Claire, Jason and Amy from Wessanen UK‘s ‘Team Tree’ were joined by Amy’s dad Jon, a keen marathon runner!
The day was sunny and crisp, and the race took them past some of central Oxford’s beautiful architecture and parks, and right past our offices in Summertown! Jon was the first to cross the finish line in 1:45:23, just 22 seconds ahead of his daughter Amy! Jason finished in 2:12:04 and Claire, who ran her first half marathon, got in at 1.58 – much faster than she had expected!
The money raised will contribute to ITF’s Centenary Campaign 20 Million Trees for Kenya’s Forests. Each tree costs about 25p to plant, so their efforts will make a huge difference!
If you’d like to join ITF at a marathon and Run for the Trees, get in touch to find out more! We have 4 places for the Brighton Marathon in April 2017 on a first come first served basis!
