The Oxford Half Marathon 2018 took place on Sunday the 7th of October, the 13.1 mile route saw over 8,600 participants run through Oxford’s beautiful and historic city centre and surrounding areas. We are pleased to say that 5 of those 8,600 runners were running on behalf of ITF and collectively raised an incredible £2,599 in sponsorship!
ITF would like to say a huge thank you to all of our runners, Penny, Daniel, Gloria, Kevin and Jane, who put a great deal of effort into their training and fundraising and all finished with brilliant times! We would also like to thank Samantha, one of our runners who unfortunately had to pull out of the race due to injury, but raised over £200 for ITF.
Finally, we would like to thank all those who sponsored our runners for their generosity. The money raised from this event will really make a difference in helping us to support our range of tree planting and community forestry projects.
We were delighted to have a strong team for this year’s Oxford Half Marathon, if you are interested in taking part in a future sporting event on behalf of ITF please take a look at our ‘get active’ page to find out more about some of the events you could take part in.
