Dear runners – would you like to take part in one of the world’s most popular marathon events while raising money for ITF?
By supporting ITF you are helping us continue our vital work, planting trees and empowering people in Africa and the UK. We help communities to protect their natural environment and harness the sustainable products and services that trees and forests provide. Working at the grassroots with small, community-based organisations, we are showing how the power of trees can improve wellbeing and livelihoods while promoting education and a greater understanding of the natural world.
We are pleased to announce we have secured a place in the London Marathon for 2018. With an iconic course through several miles of Thames scenery, taking in sights such as St Paul’s Cathedral and the London Eye and finishing in the view of the Houses of Parliament, running the London Marathon is both a fantastic achievement and an unforgettable experience.
Important information for those interested in running:
The race takes place on Sunday 22nd April, so be sure to have this date free and take into account accommodation and travel if you will be coming from outside London.
The deadline for taking this place is 26th January, 2018, at which point it will no longer be available. We recommend getting in touch soon as there will likely be lots of interest!
From the runner who accepts the place in London, we are asking an initial fee of £100 and setting a fundraising target of £1,500. We will provide advice and support for your fundraising efforts, plus a special ITF ‘run for the trees’ T-shirt, and will be there on the day cheering you on!
To show your interest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01865 318832 to speak to one of our Fundraising team and let us know a little about yourself, including:
– Why you want to run for ITF
– When & how you got into running
– How you plan to raise money for ITF.
We look forward to hearing from you!
