Finance and Administrative Officer

  • Are you a skilled accounts professional with excellent bookkeeping skills and a good attention to detail?

We are looking for a Finance and Administrative Officer to work closely with the Finance and Facilities Manager to ensure the accurate, efficient and effective management of ITF’s finances and administration.

Key duties include:

  • Playing a key role in the accurate and efficient management of the organisation’s finances
  • Tracking income and expenditure using our accounting package and database systems
  • Providing financial information to other team members so that they can make good decisions
  • Providing administrative support for the organisation

This is a part time position for 28 hours per week based at our offices in Oxford. There is some scope for flexibility in the hours worked. The starting salary offered is £24,283 – £27,594 per annum pro rata (£19,426 – £22,075 actual) depending on experience.

Volunteer Communications Assistant

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will have the chance to learn and contribute to all areas of our communications activity including content for our website and social media. You may also be able to contribute to our bimonthly E-newsletter and annual Trees Journal.

This is a chance to work as a volunteer at ITF’s office in Summertown, Oxford – and a valuable opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in the not-for-profit conservation and development sector.  If you are looking for ways to gain employability, this is a great way to learn new skills whilst building confidence and contributing to our vital work.

If you are motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and tenacious, and especially if you have experience in communications and/or an interest in environmental and international development issues, then this is the perfect role for you.

Programmes Volunteer

Working closely with the Programmes Manager, you will have the chance to learn and contribute to how we manage all of our projects and programmes, internationally and in the UK.  There may be opportunities to focus on specific projects such as Calls for Proposals.  You will prepare project agreements, review reports and communicate with project staff.  You may also be able to write stories about the projects for our website and newsletters.
