ITF sign up to the Rainforests Declaration with the Prince’s Rainforests Project

ITF have become signatories to The Prince’s Rainforests Project Rainforest Declaration, a statement calling for a properly funded and effectively coordinated emergency package that prevents the further degradation and disappearance of the tropical rainforests. HRH, The Prince of Wales has long been concerned about climate change and how rainforest destruction contributes to rising temperatures and sea levels. The Prince’s Rainforests Project (PRP) was set up in 2007 and is working with governments, businesses and non-profit organisations around the world to find solutions to deforestation – and to find them fast – with the ambition of ‘making the trees worth more alive than dead’.
