Paraguay’s Atlantic forests – WWF case study

WWF-UK has produced a great case study that captures some of the impacts and challenges experienced in over 5 years of work in Paraguay’s Atlantic forests.

Paraguay’s Atlantic forests were facing complete elimation in the face of soya expansion. Through a zero deforestation moratorium, a social pact and an initiative to fully implement forest legislation, deforestation has been reduced by 90% based on a 2002 baseline.
