The Friends of Ham Hill
The Friends of Ham Hill are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping the Ranger team to look after and improve the park. Activities focus around undertaking nature conservation work which ranges from maintaining the paths and open spaces to ensure the park is always a pleasant place to visit. Funds also help make sure that popular local events can take place such as the Ham Hill Fayre.
Ham Hill itself is situated close to the village of Stoke sub Hamden in Somerset, Ham Hill Country Park offers 400 acres of open landscape with grassy hills, wildflower meadows, shady woodland areas and interesting old quarry sites. The highest point of Ham Hill is the site of an ancient hill fort and from here you can get magnificent views across Somerset. The park provides a large area of varied open space in which families can walk, play, and ride horses or cycle.
