Chasewater Country Park in the Forest of Mercia
The Forest of Mercia is a Community Forest which includes a large part of Walsall. It is being created by a partnership between Government, Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council and, most importantly, YOU – the local community.
Black Country Urban Forest, Stevens Park, Dudley
This 27 ha Park with many fine views both into the surrounding countryside and back into the Black Country is situated about half a mile from the Pedmore House Hotel, near Halesowen.
Croome Landscape Park, Croome D’Abitot, Worcestershire
In 1996, The National Trust acquired 270 ha (667 acres) of this Grade 1 listed Capability Brown landscape park. Croome Park is one of the greatest creative works of art of the eighteenth century and is the result of a unique partnership between the 6th Earl of Coventry and the most famous of the landscape architects, Capability Brown.
Forest of Marston Vale,Rectory Wood, Cranfield
Rectory Wood is 70 hectares of land, located on the slopes of the West Bedfordshire Clay Ridge, between the attractive old centre of Cranfield village and Marston Thrift, an important local area of ancient semi-natural woodland. The setting provides an attractive backdrop to the low-lying Marston Vale, and will eventually form part of the largest area of broadleaved woodland in Bedfordshire.
